Besides Kelbytraing.com and Lynda.com, any good video tutorials you bought and liked?

There are numerous good "providers", or do you just want single video names/providers?

Names of authors or websites. I'm specifically interested in paid video tutorials, not free blog stuff (unless really informative). Any genre. I bought a few from Luminouslandscapes.com and Photocascadia.com, and want to expand my video library.

SLRLounge

PixelGenius

LightroomQueen

Those are three sites that come to mind, although Lynda and Kelby have a well-earned reputation for providing very comprehensive training covering numerous topics. I'd sign on to one of them and spend a month (or two) "soaking it up"...invest the time, then you can decide where to go from there!

I had a good time with NAPP, still have a big pile of PU mag that I haven't even perused. The conference that I went to in '07 in Las Vegas was also a lot of fun and had some cool workshops!

Unfortunately "unsubscribing" has been part of my long process of "downsizing", Oh Well...!

I watch these for free, usually within 48 hours of them coming out:

I've chosen to support B&H on a few occasions, because of the event space seminars being provided.

And I've grabbed a few classes here: http://www.creativelive.com/ (external link) Waiting for one I see re-usability to before purchasing one though.

There is a lot of good stuff on the B&H youtube channel. I also check out the monthly Nik webinars not so much for detailed instruction, but because they are bringing in good photographers and you get some insight into their workflow and 'style'. As far as purchased DVDs/video training, a lot of what I have seen is similar to what you get for free information wise. For example, I loved Zack Arias's One light DVD. He explained everything that confused me about using flashes in the first 5 minutes. But most of the rest of the video was watching him shoot while explaining inverse square law and other tidbits. You could get very similar information from watching Joel Grimes and others series of free videos on Youtube. Both are valuable and I recommend buying Zack's DVD if you are beginning using lighting. But I wouldn't say paid is necessarily better than free.
