Hey guys,

I'm kind of feeling numb on how to edit this. I've no problem turning it into a fine Black and white but I don't think it'll be as good as the colored version. So ANY help from you guys would be an immense help.

I've uploaded the RAW file on dropbox

:oops::oops:

Thanks again, in advance.

Also, a question. Do you think using a Flash would've helped ? I don't have one since I'm a hobbyist and shoot 95% of the time in daylight.

For starters, to help you more, I would imagine that if you had a smaller jpeg for all to see rather than having to download a large file, would help to entice others to do stuff. :)
I mean that in a helpful way, it's kind of like people having links on here rather than images, most won't click on them.

On the contrary, editing a jpg on top of the editing already done to it is very limiting and editing a small 1024 pixel version is even worse. Most experienced photo editors would prefer to have the Raw from which they can start at the beginning. However, it would be good to post a jpg so others can see whether it is something they think they can help with. As for myself, I am not at home right now and can't participate, but I will try to get back to it later.

I meant to have it for people to see what they'd be downloading, nobody wants to download a larger file to see something that they may not be interested in working on. :D

Also, now that I see the edited version above me, how does a person that didn't see the original jpeg know what to compare it to?

Here's my take on it... I think a proper white balance setting would have helped more than anything else. After fixing the white balance (to my taste anyway) everything else just falls into place. I also cropped in a bit, as where you had their feet cut off seemed to low (to me).

I'm not quite happy with the white balance, hard to pick a good tint for the skin tones, but it was a quick edit:

This is converted in LR4 with my QPCard profile for the 5D2 made under florescent light, although the photo seems like it was shot mainly under tungsten lighting (which is getting pretty rare).

On the edited versions of this shot the lighting looks pretty good to me. I don't think a single flash would have helped much, at least I don't think I would be able to get much extra out of a single flash, even with an umbrella.

There seems to be a huge variation in color of the posted edits. I'm thinking some people may have their monitors a little too red. The first one looks best to me.
