Knowledge base, maybe I'm just searching with the wrong words so I'm posting the query here.

Publish services in LR have individual settings, like uploading at certain resolutions or file sizes, adding sigs, etc. I love it, it's great. This is the issue I have. Say I want to upload to separate albums to Flickr. One for a client and one of my dogs. My client's photos should be in full resolution without a watermark, but all the ones of my dogs I want uploaded at a max resolution of 800px on the long edge with no watermark.

I've seen two solutions and I've used both and I like neither.

1. Create two different Flickr publish service profiles. Not a big deal when it's only two, but I have several configurations I upload with. I can't just switch collections between publish profiles, either, even when it's the same service (i.e., flickr to flickr).

2. Change the publish settings for the profile each time I want to upload a collection with different settings. This prompts me with the question of whether I want to reupload all photos with the new settings or leave them as is. I always click to leave as is.

My real question is... Is there a way to set publish settings per individual collection or smart collection within a publish service? That would be ideal, but I haven't found any solutions on the google.

Chime in if you're the SME or if you just have an answer. Thanks all.

Have you tried creating Export Presets for your various needs? Otherwise, I'm not sure how you could approach the kind of variety you seem to be looking for...?

I haven't, but that's because my understanding is that export presets can not go straight to publish. Even if they could, I appreciate how dynamic smart collections are. Ie, when I change a photo it is automatically replaced in the online album and marked to republish.

OK, I'm not really "up to speed" with the publishing services, I occasionally publish to Facebook, but I also will Export to a folder and then upload, so I guess I don't have any informed/specific answers for you!

I'm not an expert by any means, but I haven't found a way to do what you're asking. All collections under a publish account seem to inherit the same settings and can't be changed individually. If there is a way, I'd love to know, too.
