I've been using ProShow Gold for sometime now to produce DVD slideshows and it's worked well and is generally recommended around here. I recieved and email flyer recently for Sony's Vegas Platinum +DVD and wondering if anyone has tried it out for slide shows. It's geared more for video production, but by the features listed it appears to have alot of bells and whistles that might be useful for slide shows.

Megapixels and high ISO are a digital photographers heroin. Once you have a little, you just want more and more. It doesn't stop until your bank account is run dry.

Hi Mark. I just bought the Platinum version about a week ago. I haven't had a chance to really work with it yet.
I did make a quick slide show with it, and was disappointed in the quality of the finished show. The photos I used were fine, nice and sharp.
I've read some posts in the user's forum that I'm not alone. I've also read that it does a great job.
