Auto focus seems ok (need to test tomorrow in better lighting), but turning the ring manually does nothing. I'm assuming this isn't a cheap fix? Looking online, I see people doing the repairs themselves, but I don't think I'm that brave. My name is Jeff, not actually Jose Canseco.

I watched a youtube video of someone fixing a similar problem on a 50mm 1.4, and it seemed a little daunting (ie. it involved small tools and no duct tape). Maybe I'll stick it out with the AF-only as long as it still works and save my pennies. My name is Jeff, not actually Jose Canseco.

With FF, you don't get such tight shots. Maybe slightly cropped, but yes, aps-c. Going to be a little tough to get used to. I would really like to get out and get some better light but time/weather hasn't really cooperated much since I got the 85 AND my indoor subjects don't really like me following them around with the camera too much.
