I hope I will because I love the build of the thing, it's so tiny/light! Fuji X-T3 // Fuji X-Pro2 (Full Spectrum) // Fuji X-H1 // Fuji X-T1

Nov 06, 2013 10:59 | #1168 idsurfer wrote in post #16421652 Wow, Thanks for the kind words. I have said it a million times (especially since letting my 135L go) that if you are looking for a truly versatile FL that can do almost anything within reason, with an emphasis on portraits, 85mm is the way to go. And the canon 85 1.8 is a freakin" STEAL for the cost! I think you will be very pleased. THanks, I kind of just framed this one up and cracked it off really quick before heading out with the kids yesterday. But in the end I was quite pleased with it. Again, 85 mm is quite the versatile FL. Here we have a landscape shot!! I believe I actually focused on the top of the hill if I remember right. I wanted the foreground to be out of focus. I mentioned I have picked up the Hoya vari ND filter so I can use flash and wide apertures (without HSS) in bright conditions. I can't tell you how pleased I am with this filter. My expectations were just not that high as this thing is CHEAP! I was just sure I was going to end up throwing down the big bucks for the singh-ray at some point. The sun has tried to peek out today but refuses to allow me to use much ND. Here is a quick selfie with a moderate amount dialed in with the Hoya. I LOVE the variable aspect. Makes it so easy to dial in however much ND is needed/desired. Again, minimal PP, no added sharpening, and simple auto WB from the 5D3...no WB adustment at all! I can't believe the sharpness and contrast this filter is retaining! 85 1.8 @ f/2.0 [IMG]http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2828/10657041514_e80d36b6f8_c.jpg[IMG] Great stuff, Cory. Reminds me how rusty I am. Seems the late summer months I always drop off. Your shots keep making me think I need to get back out there! Canon EOS M6 Mark II - EOS R5
