I was fixing a crack in my driveway when this very curious and brave jumper would not leave me alone. So I did what any good photog would do and grabbed my camera!

Equipment used was: Canon 7D, Canon compact macro 50mm f2.5 and 32mm of extension tubes. All hand held and no flash. Shot at ISO 640 around f9 at 1/160 or so.

I didn't want him to get stuck in the sticky goo I was using to seal the cracks, so finally got him to jump onto a shovel and moved him off to a safer location. What a personality these guys have!

Thanks all! It's been a while since I've shot any macro shots so I was quite surprised that the shots came out as well as they did. I need to shoot more I guess. Now that the winter months seem to be over (no snow in a long time) and the plants and critters are coming back, I'll be trying some more.
