I don't post in this section all too often, mainly because people flee, screaming, when they see me approaching with a camera.

While out shooting some surfers this morning, I saw this young lady sitting along a wall. Most folks on the beach were not so nicely dressed.

Anyway, it struck me, so I took a shot. 20D with 70-200mm f/2.8L with a Tamron 1.4X.

Here ya' go:

She's either deep in thought or just "chillin"! Nice shot, it tells a story and that's wonderful!

I'm not sure if it was deep thought or chillin', I'm just glad I got the horizon level...

You could probably write a book about this scene and what it might be saying. I love the way the black and white jumps out of the color--and I usually do not find B&W that interesting. Good job!!

Oh, she probably is.

I referred to her as a "young lady", primarily due to how she was dressed compared to other kids on the beach, and the fact that she didn't seem at all interested in building sand castles or playing catch.

I'd guess she was about 12 or so...
