Macro Video

I've been taking a few macro photos lately, today I decided to make a little video while snapping

I'm new to video, but it looked good to me. I especially like the last capture of the praying mantis!

Wow! Well done! That 100mm f2.8 is killer! I so want one now. Well done and some nice captures. Especially that mantis! Macro video is pretty hard to do well. Especially with insects that are so unpredictable sometimes. I have several macro videos of insects that I've shot as well.

Yep its pretty hard to get the focus right for a long period of time, when you take a photo you only need to be in focus for 1/250th of a second or so, but when it's video you need to try to be in focus for as long as the clip. Had a look at your vimeo ChasWG, nice work.

Thanks man! It's a very interesting part of video work this macro stuff. Hard to pull off well. Lots of support and bits needed. That 100mm marco lens is the bomb for sure. I like to shoot the bugs at 60fps because then you can slow them down a get a longer clip if needed. But its still hard to do. And a lot of practise is needed.
