Key West, Florida is understandably famous for its sunsets, people gather every evening to see them and street entertainers do their thing
The 400mm setting used here with a reasonably large aperture gives an eerie blur those to those gulls nearest to the lens, while leaving sharp silhouettes on the distant birds

This was taken during my 2 week October trip to Florida and I intend to go back as soon as time and money allow!

Thanks Rick

Key West is a fun town with a party atmosphere, but plenty to see during the day
Great night life and lots of bars and restaurants
Has some "adult" festivals so if you are taking kids it might be a good idea to avoid those times!
I based myself in the middle of the Keys, at Duck Key, and took a couple of day trips to Key West and over a week days visited most of the other Keys - they are plenty small enough to get round easily with a car.
easy access to the wildlife of the Everglades too on day trips
Had 2 weeks there and Miami and it really was one of my best ever holidays with plenty of variety

Thanks for your comments and I hope you get yourself down there some day
