My first forays into macro

So it was a gloomy day yesterday and I was on call and bored at home. I decided to rig up a reverse mount adapter using the body cap, a hose clamp, and some neoprene fashioned into a ring. Overall worked ok. Only almost lost the lens once. And I have some dirt on some part of my rig now. :(

Anyways here are some of the results. Let me know what you think and how I can improve. I was using a reversed 18-55mm lens, I think at 18mm for both of these.

The first is some sour patch kids, the second is a piece of broccoli.
