a question about auto ISO setting on 5d3...

if i set minimum shutter speed to auto how does that effect auto ISO? it appears it give me different shutter speeds at different focal lengths -- i.e., the longer the FL the more shutter speed, roughly 1/1. correct?

thanks i've been using auto ISO quite a but i'm trying to figure a way to keep ISo at a minimum -- e.g., obviously for a 16mm landscape shot i don't need 1/125s.

Ed, I typically use auto ISO in M mode. Think of it as aperture and shutter priority mode, where the camera meter is picking the ISO to complete the auto-exposure selection.

The only downside is that there is no way to set exposure compensation. Also, this doesn't really work with a flash turned on.
