I don't use live view that often, recently I observed that when my camera is in live view it will not fire my off camera flash via pocket wizards. What gives?

Do you have silent LV shooting enabled?

Silent shooting is enabled in "regular mode." Does that mean that silent LV is enabled?

There's something with Canon cameras not firing flashes when silent shooting is enabled for LiveView, but I can't remember the details. Check your user manual or just experiment with some different values for that setting.

You have to disable silent mode when using live view to trigger other stuff than a Canon flash in the hot shoe. That's because it's the shutter's movement that triggers the flash, but in silent mode there's no such movement. It's electronic, not mechanical, so no trigger signal is sent.
