WOOT! I've had a kit lens and a nifty fifty for several years and I've finally scrapped enough pennies to get me a nice wide angle canon 10-22mm.

I haven't had much time with it, but I took a quick snapshot as we picked up my dads '61 corvette that's been in the shop for 3 months... Some old lady in an escalade decided to straight up reverse into him while stopped at a red light *facepalm*. I LOVE this lens so far, and after extensively researching on which one would be my next purchase, I pulled the trigger. :D Lovin it so far, but I've gotta get out and find somethin to shoot! ... as well as learn to post process for a wide angle

I don't know if I should get the 10-22 or if I want a prime sigma 35. Can't you just tell me you hate this lens :)

Had a 6D....
Then had a daughter....
Now have an SL2 and Mavic Pro.... Man life changes.
I would encourage you... To just go for it.

The 10-22 is an amazing lens. Just watch out for distortion.

Enjoy the 10-22. Ultra Wide Angle lenses when used correctly are so much fun.

Ya, I can see it still on that shot even. I quickly ran a lens correction profile and some dodging/burning, but it's extremely apparent at 10mm. Almost comical. But as us new-age photogs say, nothing that can't be fixed in post! :P

^^ Agreed. Sometimes the distortions gives you a pretty cool effect. Like I said, it's a pretty amazing lens.

Congratulations on the new lens.

I rarely use ultra wide angle, but, when the few situations come up where its useful (i.e., European cities, New York, parts of Hawaii, etc.), I am so glad to have an UWA. The 10-22 and 17-55 are the two lens I have to have for my APS-C sensor.

Have fun.
