I received an email a few minutes ago containing the message below:
---------------
Dear DPP++ user,

A new version of DPP is now available (3.13.0).
This new version is not compatible with DPP++.
If you'd like to continue using DPP++, please don't install it until I found a solution.

Best regards,

DPP++ Author.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

No problem. I hadn't heard of it either so I ran a little Google search.

YB98,

As to the incompatibility of ++, I'm sure you're working on it now and will resolve it.

But another question. As a developer, you may know more than most. After many years of use, I recently abandoned DPP because of the DR problems reported about it. Do you have any knowledge about Canon's plans of fixing that problem?

Wow, you guys aren't very observant. Aside from not even reading the OP of this thread beyond the first sentence, you really should know that YB98 has been an active and valued member here for the last ten years and his DPP plugins are truly impressive.

Elie,

Blame my age in part, but also my memory has suffered because of my unresolved health issues. I obviously am aware of YB98 but DPP++ is new to me.

I'll try to provide an update as soon as possible.

Concerning your question, unfortunately, I have no contact with Canon developers. So I can't tell you if they plan to resolve this problem soon. I think, they will do it someday as they did for the rotation tool and the USM sharpening, but when ??? I don't know.
Sometimes, the priorities of the canon developers seem very strange... I have never understand why they provided a circular crop tool... I'm wondering how many people uses this feature.

You're right. I've trained myself to ignore signatures, even my own.

BTW, the new lenses supported in this version concern the DLO module. These lenses don't appear in the previous version. They appear only if you install this new version. Another canon mystery since they are supposed to be downloadable profiles, so why do we need to update DPP and no just download the new lenses profiles ?
