Wow, participation was a bit light this week, but we got some great entries anyway. :)
I think I'm gonna go with Kevan this week, I'm lovin the lighthouse under the bridge and the plane trails in the sky.
Mareen, lovely shot, I ended up having to google that theater and find out where it was. ;)
Heycoop, I'm diggin the stark graphical look to that image.
Thanks for contributing, time to keep this thing moving. On to you Kevan.

Thanks, Timothy, for the nod and fun subject matter. Sad to see this DSLR challenge struggle as it has these past couple months. Solid entries Maureen and Heycoop.

Come on people, grab your cameras, get out there and bring us some new images!

So...to get the shot I did, I went to the same place on two consecutive nights, driving about 20 minutes away to an outlook with a view south of the Tappan Zee bridge and NYC far beyond. The first visit, the day was so pleasant, warm, with clear skies. As I got into the car and started my drive the skies suddennly turned grey and it became quite gusty. I was out, heading to the river, I couldn't be swayed from my task. My camera and tripod on the other hand swayed with each blast of wind. I even hung my bag from the bottom of the center post of the tripod, but little good that did as it spun and bobbed in the breeze. I squeezed off a few shots and gave up on the shoot. I could tell my images were soft due to the long exposure and the wind buffeting the equipment.

I did end up with one image that was passable, and personally I preferred it to my entry, but I was swayed by family and friends to enter the image from my second visit. A night that was so much more cooperative and pleasant.

I'll try to get the next subject up this evening or early tomorrow.

WTG, Kevan & thanks for the topic scatter, I am out this next week; sorry Kev. My sister is having a surgical procedure tomorrow & I am headed out of town here in a few minutes to go be with her.
