I don't think that it crashed, but it is definately coming down a little tilted. Notice now the wheels under one wing are down while the other side are just starting to touch the ground.

That would be normal if there was any kind of cross wind.

did the plane crash?

No, it landed OK.

Notice now the wheels under one wing are down while the other side are just starting to touch the ground.

Yep, funny I didn't notice it at the time, only when reviewing the pictures. I guess I was busy thinking about taking the photos.

That would be normal if there was any kind of cross wind.

There was not much wind, but I guess when you are insometing that big it doesn't need to be much.

Do you hang out at airports, good timing with the camera

Not very often. I do like to go to the airport with my camera from time to time. We didn't stay at this spot for long becauswe they are doing construction work upgrading the runway so the trucks and diggers kept getting in the way.

Thanks for your comments everyone.

You should see me landing my Microsoft flight simulator.

I think some of those sims have a programmed landing glitch, like Battle of Britain. :D

Actually the larger the aircraft, the less it is impacted by crosswinds. This would actually not be considered a "bad" landing. As long as the number of landings equals the number of takeoffs the pilot has done a fine job! ;)

Nice shot!

That depends......does a crash landing count?

Nice shot!

Thanks! I took a lot of bland photo's of planes that day. This one (and a couple of others in the same series) were the only ones I would consider intersting.

Any landing you walk away from is a great landing, if you can use the plane again then that's a bonus

Like what?

The set of wheels on the side of the plane closest to the camera are almost flat on the ground. The set on the other side are hanging down at more than 45 degrees.

It is normal for the wheels to hang down at an angle before they touch the ground. This difference just shows how far the plane was leaning over when it touched down.
