It didnt hurt anything... pretty normal, but I live in Wyoming where the wind blows 90mph every day... lol. Anyhow, I dont think anything is abnormal about the landing. It happens.

The thought behind this is to provide greater forgiveness upon touchdown, the gear will then "flatten" out with the ground once full contact has been made. -Corbett

I have been to this spot with Pete a couple of times, but they are doing upgrades on the second runway so it can handle the A380 at the moment and the trucks and diggers kept getting in the way. You are right about the heat haze too, I got another shot of the same plane after it had safely touched down that would have been pretty good if were not for the haze.
