42nd street photo

Hi everyone !!! Has any one delt with 42nd street photo? They have a great deal on a conon 7d , I have research how they score and looks pretty good but then who knows. I like to hear from you guys and let me know. The price difference is about $400 from adorama....just wondering.

They have generally bad reviews for trying to upsell. I'd avoid

I just got my T4i from them. Yes, they called (on the pretense of asking if I wanted to have a signature required on the shipment) and tried to sell me more stuff and an extended warranty, and I hate when someone does that to me. On the other hand they had a good price, they shipped it promptly, and I got what I ordered.

I found out what's going on..... they monitor sites like resellerratings.com very closely. Put in a bad review (mentioning that they call and try to up-sell or force feed you high priced accessories) and you'll get a phone call (within an hour or two) offering to send you a free battery or something similar for your inconvenience, and "oh, by the way, can I count on you to change your review?".

I bought my T2i there. They tried to upsell me via the phone and they were lying pretty bad - said that the stock Canon battery only lasted about 30 minutes shooting photos and that I really needed to buy one of their mega-super-capacity batteries for $40. Said that I needed a $40 UV filter to prevent inevitable damage to the lens.

Really scummy. Told them I just wanted the camera and the guy was really miffed.
