Trying out some detail work with this lens. I haven't been able to use it much, but I tried as much as I could on this shoot to do so. More coming from this set. I will say having the larger focussing ring made focussing in video mode a breeze.

Question, is it normal that the IS moves from time to time? it seems that when I half press the shutter button the IS moves slightly to the right and the comes back to its place, almost like a hiccup and its most noticeable at 200m. I already sent the lens to Canon and they said that the af assembly was worn causing the focus to operate improperly. It said that the assembly was replaced with a new one but when I received it today it was working slightly worse than before. Sending it back again for a repeat repair :(

I've had that on many stabilized lenses.
When I half-press the shutter, the IS starts working and the image shifts a little in the viewfinder.
Never had a blurry image because of this however.
