Finally had a chance to get out and shoot some basketball. I think that day is gonna cost me some money as I now find myself wanting a 24-70 f2.8 for under the net shots. I like these but feel they would be better with a wider view to include the net.

Just a thought Jelloneck; I've been shooting my boys basketball games for the past year and having tried and tested some fast zooms, I'm far happier with faster primes such as 35mm f/1.4 and 85mm f/1.8 - Find they are incredibly sharp and at f1.8 or f2.0, I don't have to jack up the iso too much.
