That's amazing. Can give more info, please? Like camera, filters (if any), tracking, times, frames and what you used to process. (Not asking much, am I?) And did you use a modded camera? I'm just getting into astro and can only dream of an image like this.

Thanks Annie. Certainly camera was a modified Canon 77D, lens was 70-200L IS II shot at 200mm with the Sigma TC-1401 (so effectively ~450mm FOV).

Tracking was done with the Sky-Watcher AZ-GTi with EQ firmware update. Guiding was done wirelessly via ZWO ASIAir with the ASI120MM Mini cam and 30F4 guidescope.

I managed to tally up roughly 3 hours worth of data (90x 2 minutes) over a couple nights, wanted more but weather didn't play ball and 30x 30 seconds and 30x 15 seconds for the bright core.

I used Astro Pixel Processor for integration and initial colour calibration and light pollution removal and finished off edits in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Hope that helps!

Wow, thanks, that's fantastic information - exactly what I needed. Maybe in a year or two I'll get to your level. I'm thinking of getting an astro modified camera as my next step. I have the Star Adventurer but would like a GoTo as I'm such a newbie I can't find things! This is very inspiring though and I already have LR and PS. Is the Astro PP easy to use?

APP is about as easy to use for astro specific programs: very powerful and intuitive, at least it has a proper UI. Developer has done a great job where if you hover over the functions/sliders a speech bubble will pop up explaining what it does as well. One of my best purchases for astrophotography.

They offer 1 month free trial if you want to try it.

Thanks. I need intuitive and I believe PixInsight is not user-friendly. I think I'll give APP a try.
