Nah, he doesn't think telephoto's are necessary, he would advise you to just sneak up and get closer to whatever you're trying to photograph, or at least that used to be his position. Sometimes his opinions can evolve, no matter how forcefully they're originally written. :lol:

Just got this lens from another member on here. First shot with it on my 6D.. damn it's fast and beautiful. I think it focuses faster than my 500mm f4L IS which is amazing.
