Canon P&S with viewfinder and 3:2 sensor?

Hi there,

I'm looking to buy my 8 year old niece an inexpensive point & shoot camera. I'd like it to have a viewfinder, and for it to produce 3:2 images so they can be printed out as 4x6s without cropping. Is there a Canon camera that meets these requirements?

Point & Shoots with optical viewfinders are a rarity, in these days.

There is only three options offered by Canon: the G1 X, the G15 and the A1400.

The two "Gs" aren't exactly inexpensive, so you should go for the A1400.

I believe it's sensor are 4:3, but P&S usually have the option to automatically crop the image ("in camera"), creating a 3:2 jpeg.

There is also a option with a EVF, the SX 50, a superzoom. It is expensive (costs the same as a G15) but surely it can save images in 3:2 format (I checked).
