Posting here for the first time. Trying to get my Mom interested in photography and she enjoys birds. I always have too, but never really spent much time chasing them for photographs, maybe that will change
Got her a camera, now she is clicking away. We saw this bird this morning and he appeared to have an insect in his mouth but upon zoom I saw it was nesting material. He/She is well on its way to building a nest outside the kitchen window.
I am no bird expert, but using a website (whatbird.com) I figured out as best I could that this was a Carolina Wren. Is that correct? Spunky little fellow, I like that.
My mom named him "Chirpy"
I apologize for the noise in the image, I was doing photos late afternoon day before and left the ISO on too high for bright daylight!
any CC or suggestions on birding or websites to identify more easily are all much appreciated!
