Hey guys.
I want to know how I can get the gorgeous tones like in these shots:

Pretty sure that there was some pp involved, and that its not just the lens lol.

Thanks!

The first two definitely have the red channel boosted. The third shot looks fairly unmolested to me.

A quick way to get there would be either with tone curve manipulation via the individual channels, or with a gradient map. I personally use gradient maps along with the blending options and luminance and shadow masks. A gradient mask set to color and at a low opacity (20-30%) will give a nice colored tone to the image, and allow you to choose different colors for the highlights/mids/shadows.

BTW: on one of the images the photographer responds with this :

Just a lil levels, curves, and some split toning adjustment

Which makes sense. Lifting the bottom of the tone curve with give that hazy look, especially if you do it on a particular color channel, which will impart that color heavily in the shadows.

Yeah. Curves adjusted separately for every channel.

Is this what "cross processing" is?
