It was a good Winter for owls. I missed seeing Sawhets and Long Eared Owls but still managed 7 other species with the Great Grey Owls taking the cake with the dozen or more I saw and photographed this Winter

Amazing. Obviously they are all great, but the one that called to me was the Screech Owl, tucked in his little nook.

Great series, Gary. For me, it's definitely the GGO that is the big winner here. The first image is awesome.

I may be just a little prejudiced as I spent some time with my first just recently and got a lot of images I'm pleased with. It's a fantastic bird.

Stellar shots!! Are the owls still active now in April? I know the light is bad and the snow's melted but I haven't had the chance to go yet. Would be nice to shoot with you :) !
