I had to share this lady's gallery on Flickr HERE (external link). Most of the photos on there are done with the 50L.

I think these are the best photos I've seen on Flickr all together, just magical ...

not so much about the lens in her hands as her PPing skills IMO...

Yah, for sure but still you have to have a pretty solid starting point and you can see how clean and detailed the images are. And then you have the colors which are signature 50L colors, impossible to replicate those tones ...

lol, I've gone full circle with the exception of the sigma. The 50L is good no doubt, but it feels so expensive for what it is.

I would be happy to get really close results and pay a lot less.... but the 1.4 has failed me so many times, and I'm scared of sigma service, dealt with it before, damn hesitant to do it again.

The 50L is amazing, just a lot of money.

to be honest with you, it's her PP that makes her images impressive.
I don't see how she couldn't have taken the same images with a 50 1.4 or 1.8 lens considering that a lot of shots were at f2 or f2.8.
one thing for sure is that she's mastered the 50mm focal length very well!
newbish here so I dont know which colors are you referring as signatures from the 50L

The main thing for me is that she is using the same body as I and she consistently produces high quality well focused images with that combo. I did not think my body works so well with that lens for whatever reason but she proves that theory wrong. I'm already familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of this lens. So far, it is been the most impressive and the most frustrating lens I've ever used both at the same time. If I find a constantly focusing one, I know I can be very happy with it so her images are encouraging.

She clearly is a master of post processing.

I am not sure what are you really looking at. Most of the shots are done by Nikon.

Perhaps, these are not my types. But pictures are just pretty much generic "pretty".

Sorry, wrong person :)

Fuji XE-1, Zeiss ikon, Hasselblad; I love shooting film as a conceptual idea :)

While the lens is important, I think both her vision and post processing skills are what really separates these images from ordinary to extraordinary.

My sister, the professional baker and cake decorator once told me that my camera takes great pics. My reply was that I thought her oven baked great cakes.
