Regarding Min.Shutter speed

Hi everyone,

I have a 6D. I would love to use the slowest shutter speed I can get away with without camera shake. I'm using 16-35. When I set Min. Shutter speed to Auto, the camera gives me 1/30s whether or not I zoom out to 16mm or zoom in to 35. I would like the shutter speed to increase proportionally to my FL.
For instance, I would like to have 1/25 at 16mm and 1/60 at 35mm.

Is this the way it is? The only workaround is to use Tv or M and to set my own desired SS?

Yes you will need to manually set your shutter speed to the best of my knowledge.

What is the desire here? What may appear as an acceptable image as a 4 x6 print can look terrible on a 22 inch monitor.
