I use lightroom but not to it's fullest potential due to lack of knowledge.
I googled and found there are few sites that have some tutorials, some of them have broken links...

Any recommendations or links for getting a quick grasp of the LR features. This one (external link) was neat but some links are broken

I use Lynda.com (external link)and am very happy with the tutorials. Although they have a free week, they're not completely free, but you can't go wrong with her tutorials.

There are lots of sites that have "TIPS" for using Lightroom. I would recommend the following for starters:

http://lightroomkillertips.com/ (external link)

Youtube

If you have a few $$ to spend, take a look at NAPP.

These ones aren't too bad: http://blogs.adobe.com …lightroom-training-videos (external link)

The ones on Lynda.com are better, but you need a subscription ... unless you sign up for their free trial and can work through them in a few days :)

Laura Shoe. She has a comprehensive set of downloadable videos.

Piet Van den Eynde: Great downloadable PDF: Lightroom 4 Unmasked

Again not free, but both are very very good.

If you want simple, easy to understand, not pay a fortune., then go to www.steeletraining.com (external link). Phil Steele has a lot of free content too. I purchased his LR training, spent an afternoon watching. Believe me, it was not boring as some are. You will learn. I enjoyed it very much. Jeff

I second Kelby training, I've spent too many hours watching all the training videos they have on there, and most of them are amazing.
To be honest it's worth subscribing for all the Joe McNally photography courses.

FYI the lightroomkillertips.com link above is Matt Kloskowski's site, and he does a lot of the photoshop and lightroom courses on kelbytraining

The ones done by Jeff Schewe and Michael Reichmann over at Luminous Landscapes are pretty good. Jeff generally has some inside knowledge of the tricks in Lr due to his relationship with Adobe. I've found them to be pretty informative especially in regards to what Lr is doing in the background.

On the other hand they are fairly simple and should be easy for anyone to understand. They're not free, but I think they are a good value. Worth looking into. As a side note, watching those two interact is entertainment in itself :)

Jared Platt is the guru of Lightroom. He will be at creativelive.com on April 10 2013. It's free and there's also rebroadcast too.

I started out with Scott Kelby's Lightroom "primer", a good, hands-on read:

https://www.google.com …JBw&bvm=bv.45107431,d.cGE (external link)

If you get the book and work carefully through it (starting at Page One) then, well, other thing will be "icing on the cake" and you can pick and choose!

I agree with this. I've got the previous version of the book (for LR3). I haven't upgraded to LR4 yet.

I use manual exposure settings on the copy machine

Another satisfied customer of Kelby's LR4 book here!

Still waiting for my fan club membership card, though.
