Hi All,

Back again with some pictures at last, after months and months of hiding away from the snow and rain and admiring countless amounts of photos uploaded by you marvelous people!

Having learned a hell of a lot, I planned to go out last weekend open minded and to perhaps take some shots to tell a story rather than just to take 'another photo'.. I also wanted to practice some under 1/100 panning shots. Only managed 1/80, any lower and it was unfortunately deleted right away.

I was also my first outing with my new 1.4x Extender (Kenko) mounted on my 70-200 F4. Pretty pleased with the results although shooting through the fence was a nightmare being that my maximum F stop was now 5.6...
I also found that the extender 'Hunted' a lot and seemed to completely ignore the switch on the lens being set to 3m. Never mind, nothing some manual focusing cant handle!

Personally, I don't think I did too badly, not great but i'm happy seeming as I haven't even picked up the camera since last year.

If only more than 8 images were allowed..

As always, C&C most welcome.

Thanks, sods law that I was practising panning shots when it happened. Saw it happen out the corner of my eye so quickly panned in that area haha. Very lucky to say the least!

With the bike train, I initially edited out the very last guy down the hill but wasn't happy with itso llet him in.

Will sort my website out soon so I can link to the full albums.

Set your lens to 1.2m and you will find it does not hunt as much.

Even with a fence in front of me at approximately that distance (1.2m)?

Surely if I do that it will focus on the fence more often?!

Thanks for the comments chaps.

Still a long way off being at each of your standards but still enjoy trying. One day maybe...
