Im currently a sophmore at Miami of Ohio, and beleive it or not my university is something like the eighth oldest school in the US. I think thats right, but if not, just note that my school is really old. With that being said we have an abundance of graveyards all around campus. Last year, when it was getting close to Halloween, i felt the urge to go to one of these and take some pics. These are the keepers from that day...

Those all look very good. My favorite is the last one. What was your PP? Looks like you grayscaled every thing but the flowers and just desaturated them?

I can write up how i did all of them, if youd' like, but for the last one i simply added a channel mixer layer adjustment map, checked monochrome, and put the settings around red 60, green 40. Thats typically how i do all of my B & W conversions. Then on the layer mask, i took a black brush and colored over the area in which i wanted to be in color, which in this case was the flowers.

Superb Mr Creech ... tho' unlike Mr BrianEE93 the last does nothing for me. Shows the subjectivity in play when viewing.

hahaha yeh, theres always mixed feelings with selective saturation. I for one, feel its played out and actually swore never to do it, but my curiousness got the better of me with that last pic.

As i said before, to make it black and white, add a channel mixer adjustment layer, check monochrome, settings around red 60, green 40. Then add a hue/saturation adjustment layer and check colorize...and then play with the hue slider and saturation slider till you get it to the sepia tone you like. All these adjustment layers that im talking about can be found at the bottom of the layers window circled red in this picture. Ignore the red circle at the top left...this pic i used in making a tutorial for another site.
