Recent PM/email issues?

In the last few hours I received an onslaught of email notifications (maybe a dozen), stating that I've received new PMs. Most of them were late by a good day--I also just received an email from another member that was sent hours ago. Am I the only one experiencing issues with the email/notification system? The actual PMs are arriving on time, without delays.

Well, aren't you the popular guy. No wonder the system has been clogged up.

That is way above my pay grade, I imagine the next available Admin may be able to address the issue, either that or Pekka.

Any chance of raising that inbox/outbox total to 1000?

Not a big deal, just curious. I've not see this issue before in the few years I've been here.

This is how mail servers work. If other side does not respond, mail is placed on a queue and retried every few hours. This leads to bunch of mails when servers finally can communicate.
