How many (history) Canon 500mm lenses are there?

I know there is the I & II. Is there a I non-IS? When did each lens debut?

Looking to pick up a 500mm so weighing out the options.

there was a 500mm f4.5:

then the 500mm f4 IS:

and then the current lens...canon won't work on the f4.5 version...

On the Canon History FD page they mention a F/5.6 with Fluorite element but I wasn't able to find a page about it.
