Yes. One could be located in a garden when used. Most gardeners would probably not want one of these used too close to their vegetable plots, nonetheless.

This item does not directly make plant parts unsafe to eat at all. But its use does cause other problems.

It is much less of a problem here in the South than it would be north of the Mason Dixon Line.
