Round, and diameter is less than about 3".

Is this a "tube"? If so, is it longer than about 12"?

Not the brown (lowest) part, but the greyish above it, is.

Depends on your strategy;)
If you take guesses as thoughts cross your mind, you'll be there forever unless you happen recognise the thing directly, by association or subconsciously.
Finding out whether the thing is common or not, probably reduces the options from infinity to infinity/3. Which might help, or not...
And so on.

It would be an interesting project to develop an AI algorithm:-P
