It used to be called "240V" until we harmonized with Europe some time ago, at which point it dropped to about 230. And all out kettles got slower.... Most of Oz is 240v except WA that has 250v. Maybe move there and get your tea faster. subby

The frequencies are very well controlled, the voltages don't matter so much, they vary through the day.
