Did you order 50 of these because they were for participants in a particular conference or similar event?

I was giving them to people to promote a particular mindset. As it happens I organised a conference on this theme this year. The colours should help a lot. There are seventeen different colours (other than metal) on this object.

OhLook, to clear this up... what is the diameter of your trampoline? Springs look small, so I guess about 3 feet?

ECC233, Lisbon would have been pretty cool this year.

She said "yard". But it also fits in a wheely bin, which in the UK would mean "foot and a bit". So,,,?
One I've used in a gym was about 3 ft rubber, bouncing a lot more than the few inches clearance I'd have at home was easy.

Ed - Sustainable forestry/paper?
Or for holders of a world stainability award? The "O" matches (external link)?

You are missing the obvious. A broader brush than that specific

A little more than that. I said so here:

WINNER, WINNER! The underside of a round one-person trampoline slightly more than a yard (meter) in diameter.

Then:

It doesn't fit in a bin. This is what I said:

I'd say the size is closest to wheelie bin. It depends on which dimensions enter into the comparison, and wheelie bins here vary.

Even the larger bins (for homes, not the giant bins for apartment buildings) are tall enough but not wide enough. The opening is too small for the 3-foot width.

Ed, what kind of answer are you looking for? Identifying what the colors represent, naming the event, or _______?

You want the UN? Even if wrong, this was an educational round. Might as well raise awareness, too:

Chris, sorry on my phone, I didn't see the link in your post 19165249.

It is actually one of the official pins from the UN for the 17 SDGs

I actually wanted anything to do with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The 17 goals are represented by 17 colours, and this was one of the official pins.

Here are the SDGs

https://sdgs.un.org/goals (external link)

I think Nathan might have been hinting at this in Lisbon

https://eua.eu …ua-annual-conference.html (external link)

but I actually meant this one

https://sciforum.net/conference/WSF-8 (external link)

Sorry. Too much information, but I get very involved in this topic (since the days of Limits to Growth!).

Ed, I don't see how the second component of Goal #8 belongs in the list. Economic growth, the way it's been done to date, undermines all the other goals.

What do you want? Economic decline? That's going to undermine the rest even more. Best way forward is responsible growth

On the assumption that no-one really wants the socioeconomic arguments here ( in my heart I am with OhLook, in my head with Nathan), I suggest that Chris gets something nee up to engage us!

Ed's post led me to a general idea that the mystery item concerned liberal causes, so I combined two of them when asking about a slogan. (Three wouldn't have fit.) There was no slogan, though, and I hadn't heard of the 17 UN goals that Ed wanted someone to find.

My starting point: overvaluing of bigness, consumption, and accumulation has got us all, collectively, in trouble. That's all I feel free to say on this forum.
