Oh dear, I wasn't supposed to get that right. I'm going to bed now, if anyone wants to jump in that would be fantastic as tomorrow I'm travelling to clean up a block of land we are putting on the market. We just bought a new house last weekend and now must consolidate. Wow so stressful. If by chance we come back tomorrow and I remember then I'll put up a new picture.

Sorry guys and gals!

Update:We're back and we are 'buggered' so no pic tonight, back to work tomorrow. Maybe I can post something tomorrow night but don't hold your breath, as we have way too much to do before we can sell our current home.

Are the two centered things buttons?

Are they rivets?

Are the concentric circles ridges?

Are the ridges a tactile aid in finding the two centered "buttons"?

Not buttons or rivets. Side showing is smoothish, but it's opposite side has the concentric "ridges", if you will. So we're looking at ridges, just not the side where you're be able to feel the ridges, which by the way is sealed and not accessible to be touched.
I say smoothish in a relative sense, as there is a texture there.

Would you say these are valves? Does a gas or liquid pass from the other side of this pass around the "non-buttons"?
