Is the shiny metal part a head of a bolt?

Does that part hold together the textured front part and the yellow part?

Does the shiny metal part slide to 'open' something or allow separation of parts of the object?

Not a bolt. It connects the two. Not for separation but it will slide in reference to the yellow part.

In the hands of Chet then probably. It all depends how hard you can throw it. Though when I think about it, you can injure yourself if misused.

There is yellow in the "hole," and what looks like warn off yellow on the rest of what is visible on the item.

Is the item or has it been yellow and is that significant to its purpose?

There shouldn't be yellow elsewhere on the parts that you see other than what you can see in the hole. If you can see yellow the maybe it got there by damage.

The yellow is by design and makes this more usable. It could be made with other colours but yellow works well.

I'm not clear what you mean.

THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff.

Do you mean that part A slides in and out, with reference to part C?

Is A easily removed from part B?

Yes/No answers...

hqqns wrote in post #18327291 (external link)
Not necessarily.

That was mentioned previously, as an aim.

Ok,
Clear answers to clear questions.
It's up to the questioner to use words which ask exactly and unambiguously, what the questioner intends.
Questioner can't assume that something other than what the words say, was meant.

In normal use, is A fixed permanently to B?

I mean, if A were glued/welded to B, would the thing still function normally?
