Would the object fit in a coke can?
Is it more common than button scissors?

( flexible )

:-| Could you ask that in a way that's easier to answer yes/no?

No. Too many rules for a simple game.

After many years of playing, I give up.

If you stress it enough it would bend, but most things would. Does that make it flexible?

The average person would consider an item flexible if it can be bent back and forth and return to its original shape without cracking or crinkling up.

A simple no could mean it will not bend or it won't return to its original shape. Flexible could very well have a different meaning in different regions but this usage is how I would interpret his question.

Is it a beverage container?

Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

Do the red white and blue parts constitute a logo or brandname?
Is the material a plastic (an artificial polymeric material synthesised from one or more small molecular units)?:-):-):-)

It depends how far you flex it, but that applies to practically everything.
Yes or No would be misleading to different people. Particularly those whose hobby appears to be to try, desparately, to find an interpretation whereby they can say they've been misled.

Suppose it's a child's plastic telephone. (It's not) Would that be flexible? Answer yes or no!
Metal Ruler? Answer yes or no!
They both bend a bit, then you damage them.
If we say no to those, then this item isn't flexible.
