His time zone is GMT +1 so he is very likely not in the U.S.

OK.
Bear in mind my time zone is GMT + 1 hour, if I seem slow.

Okay... I could have been more straight to the point... is this a European brand?

Are the contents of this container defined by the logo or is this a generic container for a particular material?

Er, yes, and no not generic.

(I can't thinkof a generic logo -?)

The container is for - the product. There may be variations of it which share the same Logo, I'm not sure.

UK.

It's a multinational company, and I checked up front - the product is available in at least one well known US chain store I've visited.

- Hmm , shades of meaning..
It's a brand, a product, but there may be a degree of genericness depending how you define it.
If they changed the container material they could use much the same logo.

I don't think it helps, unless you have a database of logos characterised by genericness.

If I were you I'd work out how the rest of the logo probably looks, and concentrate on what the product is.

You have it within a cupboard. Would the object fit inside a standard soft drink can?

I didn't write "only used one"
-?

The contents are not a single-use thing.

Sorry, I was tired :-P.

Does the contents of the item get in contact with water when used?
