Being this is the macro guessing game, I assume this is a macro. I seem to remember you posting something from a Canon MPE-65 so I know you can go to at least 5X. Having said all that, I have to wonder two things. First, is the item just the colored part? Secondly, if so, is the item smaller than a square centimeter?

I can go to microscopy (as Peacock feather), but this was just a Powershot.

The item is everything which doesn't look black.

Secondly, if so, is the item smaller than a square centimeter?
Errrm, no

Is this naturally occurring or is it manufactured?

No, I meant square. I was asking if it was smaller than a centimeter in width or length so I used square. I guess I could have used cubic, but I was thinking in two dimensions at the time, not three.

Does it glow in the dark, or does it's light come from some electric source?

Does it glow in the dark,

As in "luminescent"? , no

or does it's light come from some electric source?

You're looking at reflected light

I'm surprised Chet hasn't chipped in, he might recognise it, considering his last comment.

Given that hint -
Is its function erotic or erogenous? Please God, not a glow in the dark pre-Columbian phallus!

No. We're all safe. But the hint still applies!

Please God, not a glow in the dark pre-Columbian phallus!

Not any of those.
