Simply "ear?"
Edit: Does it start with an "f" and end with an "m"?

Ecc got it part of it, if you google Spike's phrase
the first hit you get

From
Spike Milligan "Are you going to come quietly , or...."
is "Are you going to come quietly, or do I have to use earplugs?"

Can you work out what property/adjective these have which is useful. As I said, look at the picture..... If so you might be able to work out a particular way they can be a marital aid.
?

I assume the levity created by Ohlook's suggestion is now explained :)

The colors are unusual, but that doesn't tell me anything about functionality.

I was reading an add for a pair of foam earplugs that were colored in such a manner to be highly visible. The explanation for the coloring was so others had a chance to see them and thus reducing the chance that others would think you were ignoring them instead of not hearing them because you are wearing earplugs.

I have no clue what is being looked for though. Maybe disposable?

What does the medium oak desk it's sitting on, ok like...
How could that imply sometheing useful...

It's physics, but "normal" physics, that a photographer might be likely to know about..

As the underlined part says.

OK, looks like the word may not be as familiar as I thought.

If they were glow-in the dark they'd be Luminescent, which I said they weren't.
But from the picture you can see that they show up, where a brown desk doesn't.
So they tend to grab whatever light is around, and reflect/transmit it strongly - in this case in the green part of the spectrum. Orange/yellow is common too
That means they tend to to be visible , at night.

So when Mrs Chris starts snoring, Mr Chris can see the things and get them.

There is an alternative, if the cat is curled up at her shoulder, which he's taken to doing. If I poke the cat, he digs his claws into her, so she shuts up and I still don't get blamed

SO, what's the F word?? ;)

OK here we go

Chris ... you have a free pass to attend my lectures on molecular photophysics if you are in this part of the world. You will learn unlimitedly boring things about the differences between fluorescence, luminescence and phosphorescence!

This new one is hard I think.
It is an object that many households will have.
I suspect it is used by fewer households that own one - but I might be wrong.
The object is primarily used by one profession.
There is enough in the (badly out of focus- sorry) image to identify the object:-)
