Nothing at all with temperature

By the way, my response to let Chet host was in response to Chris's offer to host one for you. Ed, I just realized you likely thought this was directed at you. That was not my intention are that time.

Certainly no offence .. we have the usual problems of our time zones being shifted

Would supporters and opponents of Brexit agree that this item will be needed less afterward? I mean, is it a matter of opinion, political stance, or anything of that nature, rather than easily established fact?

I think it was an ironic comment reflecting the fact that the traditional origin of the product with which this item is used is outside the UK

All right, then. Is it a curry-doneness gauge, a chopstick buffer, a sushi press, a whale-blubber renderer, a salt-cod rehydrater, or something else in that category?

Honestly, it is not something obscure. You might well have one.

I looks like a leveling foot on something?

Or a pivot point for some sort of quick release?

But you said "The object is primarily used by one profession." I'm statistically unlikely to have that profession, whatever it is. So I probably don't have one!

In my post above, I tried to ask whether the thing is used for operating on food. Is it?

Ed's apparently busy.

I should forget about the word "profession". Any old fool might have one.
