UK portable flash.

I apologise if this has been posted before, but it is a more UK specific question.

The cheapest option for portable power seems to be the Tronix series. The cheapest in the line up seems to be the Explorer Mini at £400 giving 400W continuous power with a 9Ah battery.

On thinking this seems a lot for what is essentially a battery and inverter, I browsed over Maplin's website.

A 300W pure Sine and a 12Ah battery will come to about £127. Throw on a circuit breaker for saftey and it seems you can have a system for basically a third the cost.

Am I missing something? It is the same weight and you could have 3 for the same price...
