So today a package came, addressed to my dad; it came UPS, and it had a pretty old address. (Probably 6 or 7 years.)
Inside was a 512 Gigabyte Crucial Solid State Drive, worth $424.99.
It came as a total surprise; none of our family has been on Crucial's website in quite some time, and we certainly didn't buy anything like this.
The person it was billed to is in California; a Zac Kiriakos of Village Art Supply; however, the package and shipping address clearly are addressed to Dad, and a very old address that no one would know.
We've checked some of the most likely credit cards, and they all seem fine, no strange charges.
The only place that would have had that address in this situation would be Crucial; dad has purchased from them before.
I guess it almost has to be a shipping error by Crucial, right? Is there any way they accidentally selected the wrong customer in their system?
I wonder what their policy is in these situations... I tried to contact them tonight, but it was past closing time, so I couldn't get in contact with them.
It was sold through Crucial, and shipped straight from Micron Technology in Idaho.
