This was taken a couple of weeks ago on Aitcho Island in the South Shetland Islands just off the Antarctic peninsula. It was late in the evening, about 22.30 and the sun was just going down.

The Chinstraps are a noisy bunch and every so often two or three will put their heads back and screech.

Welcome to the forum. You might have lost the image on the post because it exceeded the 100k limit. Go back and recompressed the photo and re-load. Just go to edit, go advanced and manage attachments.

The shot is a little soft, probably due to the difficult lighting but it is an excellent composition of a wild bird I have not yet seen here. Very nice and unusual capture....thanks for posting this:D
