Thunderbolt Raid System - Pegasus R6 vs Areca arc-8050

I am looking to upgrade my hard drive solution to improve my video editing workflow. I am currently using a Firewire raid system and I am starting to reach the capacity and performance capabilities of my setup.
After doing some research on thunderbolt raids, I have narrowed it down to either the Pegasus R6 12TB system or the Areca arc-8050.

I am looking for anyone feedback or suggestions from anyone with experience with both setups. I have found a ton of reviews and feedback on the Pegasus system, but not much on the Areca.

I recently bought a Pegasus R4 for a new iMac 27". I researched for quite a while and didn't find anything on the Areca either. I will say I had mixed emotions after reading the Pegasus reviews, but in the end decided that most of the issues people were posting were from a couple years ago so I took a chance and bought one. Other than the initializing, it has worked flawless since I got it. The initializing took over a day, for a while I thought there had to be something wrong with it but once it finished it has worked perfect.

I have used Areca products for a very long time and have NEVER been disappointed in them. On a price : performance basis they are and have been my "go to" solution for storage in the modest to moderate range.
