Revisited the Elf Owls in my yard again today. Hoping to finally get a shot of one out of the nest before sunset but that didn't happen. This was shot about 45 minutes after sunset and it was very dark out. Thanks to the 6D and it's amazing high ISO and it's ability to focus in near dark, I was able to shoot this at ISO 12800 and 1/30 of a second with my 500mm f4L IS on a tripod. Not the shot I was hoping for but for now I will take it.

I set up a cricket feeding station today and a nice perch, so once they find it and get use to the food there I think I will be able to get some nice sunset lighting shots of them.
